President of American Women's Heritage Society To Receive Drum Major Award

Philadelphia, PA (December 30, 2008) — Audrey R. Johnson Thornton, President and Founder of American Women's Heritage Society and the Discovery of the connection of the Underground Railroad as a Freedom Station in Fairmount Park, opened a $3.5 million museum on the site in July of 2007. She will receive the prestigious Drum Major Award from the Martin Luther King Center for Social Change on Monday January 19, 2009 at the Sheraton Hotel.
